The training course takes place in Tblisi, Geogia and involves around 30 young people coming from the Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaidjan, Moldova, Georgia, The Netherlands and Denmark. The reason for this selection is that Eastern European countries have enhanced their cooperation with the EU through “Eastern Partnership” and that means that the region have to improve also cooperation with each other. The training course will take 9  days and include a number of topics and methods; presentations, working groups, lectures and practical exercises – the idea is to have a simulation game throughout the week where the participants have to use the knowledge they gain from the presentations. The seminar will provide plenty of opportunity to learn about similarities and differences among the countries, to engage in topical and cross cultural working groups and present the out come as a starting point for further discussion. The overall purpose with the training course is to engage youth, to raise awareness and enhance understanding among cultures. After the training course evaluation and feed back is important to use experiences – good and bad - in further youth work. The overall idea is to educate youth leaders who will be multipliers of democratic youth engagement and further NGO work in the countries involved.

Travel refunds will be 70%, and food and accomodation will be totally covered by the organizers. The EIDP can send 6 participants to this event! More details and exact dates (Autumn 2010) to follow.
